About Me

My name is Gosia (Go-sha) Busuttil.  And yes, I realize that is one heck of a name.

I was born and raised in Poland which explains my first name.  My husband is from a Maltese background…. and that explains my last name.:)

Why photography?

I took a photography class in tenth grade thinking it was a class that I could just breeze through.  Little did I know what I was getting myself into.  This was not ‘digital’ photography but the old fashion ‘film photography.’  Before we were given a camera, we had books to read and papers to write…. not exactly what I had in mind.  But soon after, I began to really enjoy the material.  Once the camera was handed to me, there was no going back.  I fell in love with the whole process – from start to finish.

College time came around and I went into what I thought was my first love…. computers.  As time ticked away, my creative spark began to fade along with my happiness.  Now, being older and wiser, I began to realize that my first love was behind a camera, not a computer.

With much encouragement from my husband, I enrolled in few classes and began to read tons of books, magazines and everything else photography related.  I have officially become the aunt that has a camera glued to her face and all the kiddos know, that their picture will be taken when they come over.

I love to capture children and families in their natural moment.  It shows who they are and what they are about.  Sometimes, the expression may be a bit silly, but what’s life without a silliness in it:)
